Throbbing Gristle - Part Two: The Endless Not
Proving that you should never say "never," the four members of the very first Industrial band, Throbbing Gristle, announced their reformation in 2004. The reunited band toured the world and released one new album, appropriately titled Part Two: The Endless Not. The reunited Throbbing Gristle brought their years of experiences apart to create a fantastically bizarre record that paid appropriate tribute to TG's past, while sounding nothing like what the band had done before. Throbbing Gristle were many things, but panderers, they were not. No fan should have expected a re-hash of TG's first run, and Part Two certainly did not deliver one. This album marked a new era and a new sound for Genesis, Chris, Cosey and Sleazy.
The first 4000 copies of this album were pressed as one of four "totemic gifts", each made from one of the following materials: bone, wood, rubber and copper.
The Warehouse is selling a brand new, still sealed copy, containing the rubber totemic gift in the CD's spine.
This CD was originally pre-ordered from Throbbing Gristle's website, and the band accidentally sent two copies. They were kind enough to allow the original owner to keep the extra, and it has sat on his shelf ever since. If you're a Throbbing Gristle fan, this is probably your last chance to own this rare and important document from Throbbing Gristle's storied legacy.
As mentioned above, the CD is still sealed, which means the disc has never been played and is in perfect condition.
A quick note: due to the totemic gift inside, the CD was not shrink-wrapped, but instead sealed with a sticker on the right side of the jewel case. While it's still intact, the seal seems to have lost a little of its adhesiveness over time. There's no danger of the disc opening, but we just wanted to be thorough in our description.
