  • STAR WARS 1977 trading cards, rare C-3PO "obscene" card and #209 , ORIGINAL

    $25.00
There is only 1 item left in stock.

Selling multiple pair of Star Wars trading cards from the original movie, Star Wars: A New Hope, circa 1977.  Lots of fake and reproduction Star Wars items currently flooding the market.  But these are from my closet where they were stored in a lunchbox since 1978.  They are as real as real gets.

This item is listed as a pair of cards, #207 and #209.  The cards have still photographs from the original 1977 "Star Wars" movie on the front, and the rear of each of these cards fits into a larger image that comes together when the entire set of cards is assembled, or has information on the movie in the form of "Movie Facts".

Card #207 shows a version of C-3PO that was replaced on the 2nd printing of the cards. It appears (to some) that 3PO has male genitalia.  People complained, and Topps printed new versions without the extra appendage.  It is not clear whether this is a trick of light, or perhaps a too-snug suit worn by Anthony Daniels.
